The Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy (Leiria Branch) is a private institution of social solidarity. It is a non-profit organisation that was founded in 2000 by a group of parents of children, youths and adults living with cerebral palsy and/or other neurological conditions. This group was established primarily to bring together parents who have had their children’s lives affected by these conditions, with the intent to improve the quality of life of children and families.

"I have a Dream: To unite the 2 Poles of the Globe, travelling as far as possible, by bicycle and in autonomy, from the Canadian Artic to the 'Tierra del Fuego' in Argentina, cycling over 25000 Kilometres.

I have another Dream: That with each pedal stroke I take, the World is a more united place, where the differences between human beings become a source of union reflecting the richness and the true colours of human diversity.

That is why I wake up every day, come rain or come shine and with my bicycle I travel the roads of this big continent, raising the flag for a cause that promotes equality within a very special group of human beings that have being born with the tag of “different”, people who have their equality promoted and defended by a very special association the APPC (Portuguese Association of Cerebral Palsy).

What is your dream?

Be part of this great adventure and help the Portuguese Children with Cerebral Palsy to be supported on their development and growth.
